Other Courses
Integral Yoga , with Jane Greenwade. Thursdays 1.30 – 3pm, £8 per session. This is suitable for all ages, sexes and abilities, and aims to enhance physical, mental and emotional well-being. Bring a yoga mat, cushion and light blanket. Restarts in Village Hall Thursday 8th and 15th December, thereafter in January. Tel Jane for more details 01722 330305.
Zumba Gold: with Vicky Edge, Tuesday mornings 9.30 – 10am. £4 per session. Starts January 10th . Zumba is a very popular lower impact, easy to follow dance-fitness class that “keeps you in the groove of live”, is uplifting and fun. Contact Vicky (07793 716908) or Pat (780002) for info.
Everyday Cooking for Men: Ann Jensen has volunteered to teach men how to cook for themselves and others. This will start in January (owing to popular demand in the village questionnaire). Price and exact details not confirmed yet, but if interested, please call Pat (780002) to provisionally reserve a place. It will be Monday evenings in the new kitchen, a course of 6 evenings, 7 – 9pm.
Level 2 Award in Food Safety: Monday 9th January, 9.30 – 4.30pm. This official certificated course is now being organised by Wessex Community Action NOT Learning Curve as previously advertised. It is available for anyone connected with catering, manufacturing or retail where food is prepared, cooked or handled, (as in village halls). The cost is £40 for charities, £75 for others. To enrol on this course please tel Debrah Biggs (01722 421747) or go online to WCA at info@wessexcommunityaction.org.uk .
