For some years a group purchase scheme for domestic heating oil has been established in the village. Originally this was run by Mr Ken Lorrain and later by Mr Lovell-Butt.  It is presently operated  by Minster Fuels.

The company does a delivery to the whole village three time a year and they pass on some of the savings made by way of efficient delivery.
