The Publication Scheme

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Parish Councils and other local authorities must have a "Publication Scheme". The aim of the scheme is to make sure that certain information held by the council is easily available to anyone who wants to see it. The Act lays down what information must be available.

Bishopstone Parish Council has agreed that its Publication Scheme will cover all the categories of information required by the Act. Some of the information will be available from the Parish Clerk and the rest will be available from Salisbury District Council. The list below describes the information included in the Publication Scheme and explains how it can be obtained. The list includes everything which the Act requires to be in the Scheme but, in practice, we cannot make some of these items available because they do not exist e.g. we do not have any sub committees and therefore there are no minutes for them.
